The 400,000,000-year-old geologic history of the Monadnock Region can be seen in a variety of bedrock and surficial geologic exposures in and around Rindge. Join Frederick Rogers, Geology Professor at Franklin Pierce University, for a moderately strenuous geologic exploration of the area, including a 3-mile roundtrip hike on Mount Watatic trails, just over the state line in Massachusetts. Join The Nature Conservancy and Post & Beam Brewing for an OktoberForest TREE-via Night—a celebration of the essential connections between healthy forests, clean water and quality beer! Location: Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center
Join the Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center for the 25th Annual Forest of Mystery. The Forest of Mystery takes place each year in the Halloween Season with the aid of a group of talented community actors, dancers, and musicians, as well as inventive costume and set designers. This interactive theatrical performance takes place in scenes staged along BEEC’s beautiful candle-lit trails through forest and meadow. The performance explores the mysterious, magical, and powerful stories of those who can connect with nature, heal, and sense another realm beyond ours. Click here to learn more!
